It was a muggy morning on Saturday, the air was so thick you could almost cut it like butter. Magen stepped out of her old car and stepped onto the sidewalk, it was cracked where the weeds and grass had grown in. It was starting to become drizzly and you could taste the rain in the air, and the salt from the ocean on the breeze. As she walked up to the house her new shoes crunched on the floor and it was so quiet that all you could hear were shoes and her breath as she walked up the stairs to the door. She looked at the doorknob and cleaned it with the scarf her mother had made her. it had her name embroirdered on a corner with sunflowers, her favorite. And she cleaned the knob to a glistening shine, and opened the door. She called for her aunt ,but no reply, so she looked in, and the sent of death overwhellmed her. She walked in and as she closed the door, it creaked an ear cringing creak and then it slammed shut. She walked and the old rotten floor boreds creaked as though they had never been walked on in years. As she looked around there were pictures on the wall, one of a very beautiful young lady, she had jet black hair and it was all tied up in a bun, and her dress was that of the 1800's and had a clatch at the neck. She saw some stairs and decided to investigate, so she went up them and as she walked dust arose and filled the air, the stench of death began to become stronger, till she could no longer breath, and she covered her nose with her soft fragile hand. But as she walked she could no longer stand that smell, that stench, that horrible reek that seemed to be coming from the upper floor so she ran back down the stairs but slipped and fell through a rotten hole and landed on a pile of human remains. She began to panic and struggled to leave but she was to late, her aunt had found her an knew her secret was out, so she grabbed her niece, and pulled her by the hair and dragged her over to a disecting table, and then disposed of her leaving nothing but her severed head and a couple of fingers. The next day the aunt opened all the curtins, and smiled like nothing had happend. the end You can join Unsolved Mysteries and post your own mysteries or interesting stories for the world to read and respond to Click hereScroll all the way down to read replies.Show all stories by Author: 59082 ( Click here )
