Flipper's been gone a year
I often find myself in tears
As i think back to the days gone by
I think of Him in heaven high
We had problems through married times
But a better father you'll never find
For no matter what disappointment our children went through
His love for them was strong and true
Our grandchiuldren look at the river,they see
Grandpa sitting there patiently
For in their minds they have memories to last
For memories brings peace to past
They recall the times they pulled their pranks
As they look to the heavens,say grandpa,thanks
And as February second comes to be
He'll still be missed,that's a certainty
You know,I loved you for alot of years
As i sit and wipe away my tears
And GOD knows I have a love that won't end
