Hmmmmmmm.... last time I read anything about a situation like this was in the newpaper where a family sued a store for harassing their teen. They won over a million dollars. This is grossly wrong and your parents should have a 'fit'!!! I know, if it were my kid I would... Good Luck...  |

No you shouldn't have been detained unless she had valid proof of your "alleged" actions - sounds like another religious zealot decided to blow her horn in your direction - I'd think about seeing an attorney concerning this and ask for him for a legal opinion. I wish people would stop judging others the way a book is usually judge by it's cover - the content is what counts not the outside window dressing. Sorry to hear you went through this - uncalled for as a case of cancer.  |

i know how you feel,grr i would make a complaint!something kinda like that happened to me,I was wearing my pentagram & ahnk(sp?) necklaces & the clerk was following me & stating at me watching my every move,and i dont even look that punckish! i have a few ear piercings,my necklaces & thats it! i wasn't even wearing all black that time and my hair's just blonde! No that wasn't called for at all... I wouldn't have been able to hold my temper! I too had some trouble with some store workers today. And I didn't do anything either. It makes me really mad when people jump to conclusions and blame people that don't need to be blamed. If I was you, I don't think I could ever go back in that store!  |

I know how you feel. One evening I was at Zales jewlery store looking at a wedding band that caught my fancy. I had on a black blouse and long black skirt and a black trenchcoat, and I think I had dark lipstick and nailpolish. The store people wouldn't even LOOK at me. I stood there for 20 minutes until someone looked at my engagement ring and realized I was probably interested in buying something. They were very embarrased when I paid for the ring with cash... People suck, don't let anyone judge you based upon your appearance! Next time get a friend to wear a suit and go back and pretend he's a lawyer to scare that nasty old lady :P  |

No, I hate when people assume something just by the way you look or what you are wearing. My friends and I get treated like that alot because we wear pentacles. Especially when I wear my 'Satan's Lil Sister' shirt. ~TasteOfDeath~  |

HOW AWFUL! I cant stand people/stores like that. I live in Ky and theres not many nice stores around here. I like Estee Lauder cosmetics..and since wal mart doesnt seem to have them, I have to go to this fancy department store. Im not punk at all..I dont wear black or anything out of the ordinary and the woemen still follow me around. They sort of harrass me..they keep bugging me asking if i need help. I like to look around but its hard when someone is standing there staring at you. Im not the only one though..my cousin shops there also and they do it to her to. They are SO ANNOYING. If i were you..I would have sued that ladys behind! o.0  |
