I've just stopped to realise,
What a lonely Christmas this will be.
All I love have gone now,
Now that you aren't here with me.
I've taken down the tinsel,
The tree and stockings too,
I don't want to be reminded,
I won't be spending it with you.
While families share their presents,
Their day filled with Christmas cheer.
I'll just be wishing the day to be over,
