The Asmyrillions appeared out of nowhere and the U.S. fighter-class craft, Eagle EED129, was now engaged in now engaged in a fierce battle with numerous alien ships. The thrusters trembled as it maneauvered to dodge yet another barrage of enemy missiles and fired it's own badly depleted weapons in their direction. "Unless an unexpected miracle happens, this is sure to be my last transmission," Pierce said as he sat at the navigation console. "Asmyrillion forces are rapidly taking over this sector. Their attack was sudden and unexpected. Both of my scout ships have been destroyed. We have put up a good fight but they continue to grow in number and my shields are all but gone. It is my strong recommendation that this area be restricted until a retaliatory mission can secure it. Please tell my wife that I love her. Commander J.F Pierce out." Looking at the monitors, he could see that the enemy vessels were rapidly approaching from all directions and more seemed to be appearing with each passing second. The Eagle was had sustained numerous hits and was badly damaged. The controls were sluggish in responding and the fuel and weapons were seriously depleted. Pierce knew that he couldn't last much longer. Somehow, the thought of his impending death didn't really bother him although he knew that it was a definate eventuality. As fire was once more exchanged, he felt a strange feeling of deja vu. It seemed as though he had lived this scenario a hundred times before. Then, came a direct hit. The Eagle exploded into a million pieces. ...Darkness... The disappointed teenager muttered an obscenity as he fished into his pocket for another token. The Asmyrillions appeared out of nowhere.
