Chrispy Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Amount/ Ingredient 1 C Butter or margarine

1 C Sugar

1 C Brown sugar

2 Eggs

2 tea Vanilla extract

3 C All-purpose flour

1 tea Baking soda

2 tea Hot water

1/2 tea Salt

2 C Semisweet chocolate chips

1 C Coarsely chopped nuts

Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Cream butter. Add sugars; cream well. Beat in eggs singly. Stir in vanilla.

3. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chips, and nuts.

4. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans. Bake till edges are nicely browned, about 10 minutes.
