Was I wrong

the other day I sat with my aunt and grandmother to make out a list of what everyone will bring to the Christmas eve party..... everyone in the family agreed to bring something, and that it would be a a simple finger foods event.... Well we got the list all together, and like most families, not everyone is rich, so we took that into consideration while making the list. My grandmother was getting the biggest part, and I was right behind her. We were both going to spend a little over 100 dollars for our part. My aunt was doing all the baking... and so all that was left was little things like bags of chips dips, olives, and drinks. My step grandmother isnt very wealthy and lives off welfare, she gets food stamps, and has a hard time... all we had her on the list for was a can of black olives and a can of green olives, she said she wanted to bring something. I must add this---- I dont get along at all what so ever with my step grandmother.... but i co exist with her, and I am never rude to her. Well I was the one voted in to call everyone and give them thier list.. I agreed, but the only person i asked either my aunt or grandmother to call was my stepgrandmother because of the differences we have, and i rather not call her. Well my grandmother said she would get the message to her, that night my grandmother picked me up to go eat, she had to stop by my step grandmothers house to loan her the vacuum cleaner, as she went to get in the car she told my step grandmother the things she was responsible for---- well my step grandmother said I bet it was her who made the list, I dont have that kind of money.... she looked right at me, and rolled her eyes, this offended my grandmother cause she was the one to make the list, and i sat in the car and didnt get out because I dont like to come in contact with my stepgrandmother, well this time when she made the rude remark I got out the car and yelled at her----- which maybe i should have don,e but this women has always been evil towards me.. I told her if she couldnt bring 2 dang cans of olives I would, and she didnt have to get angry she simply could have said she couldnt afford them ,and Im sure someone would have got them........ I wouldnt have been upset but she told my aunt she wanted to bring something until she realized i was involved in making the list----- how can I co-exist with this old bat, without killing her? Was i wrong for jumping out the car and standing up for myself for the first time in 10 years,,,,?
