Alright, as the title says, I need any suggestions on falling asleep. Besides pills/medicine and warm milk. I haven't had more than 5 hours of sleep a night since last Thursday and I'm actually begining to get a little cranky :)(that might be an understatement) so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and welcome back!!

Date: 12/18/2001 10:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 3125    Hi PP..Really I don't require more than 5 hours of sleep.I know of quite a few people who usually require only 5-6 hours of sleep per night.I have experienced insomnia from time to time though and when I do that,I do meditation, which really works great..In a completely quiet room,I make myself comfortable by lying in my favorite sleep position.I then close my eyes and beginning with my toes,I concentrate on them.I tell my toes to relax as I totally relax them.I continue in this fashion, going all the way up my body, paying particular attention to any part that may feel tensed..I totally relax that part.My shoulders and neck area are sometimes a little harder to relax for me.By the time I get to my brain I am ready to relax and go to sleep. If not I tell my brain to relax. This may be a little difficult to accomplish, but with a little practice it will work everytime.I have been using this technique for years, even before a doctor suggested it to my hubby. If have any trouble with this technique, message me ok..((hugs)) and sweet dreams..
