I saw the news the other day and saw that there were recent school shootings. Why do you think they do this. Is there any thing we can do, what causes these problems. i would like to know if there are kids like this at your school. Do they get teased by other kids, are you your self a bully. When i was i high school, there were alot of kids who made fun of this other kid, they would tortuter him. It was sad to see this happen, it made me mad on how some teenagers can be so cruel to others. How could they sleep at night knowing that they mad some other poor kids life a living night mare and knowing that they bring fear to them. This kid would sit alone with no one, i could see the anger in him because these kids would throw things at him. PEOPLE, they were throwing FOOD at him. It was discusting to watch them do this, So i got up went to his table and cleaned him up. The poor thing was in SHOCK, i asked him if he wanted to sit with me and my friends and i could see the gleem in his eyes. He felt exepted and that made me so happy, we became good friends and he wasnt made fun of any more. I tried doing the same with other kids, the type that were lonely and wanting to be exepted, so i helped them and i loved helping them in any way possible. This kid once admited the he wanted to bring a gun to lunch and shoot every one and him self. I thanked God that i helped him in time, that i stoped a horrible inccident from happening. So be a big help and try to be nice to these people, your friendship is the one thing that might make the rest of their lives happy.

Not just pointing and trying to gain some sick political steam for some unrelated ideal!!!
Only the individual can make the real difference!

In fact, they should teach this in the schools and have it be required, so bullies will know how it feels to be a victim. I also believe that all the media coverage in ways could encourage this. Some one watching a shooting on the news may think this was a great way to finally recieve the recognition he feels he deserves. Does that make sense? Your friend, StormBringer
Date: 3/27/2001 6:59:00 AM  From Authorid: 24856    My daughter had a similar experience. There was a handicapped child at her school. He had a hard time because he was different, not only physically, but mentally. Other kids would torment and laugh at him, direct crude jokes and cheap imitation actions towards him. My daughter took great objection to his unfair treatment, so she excused herself from friends and started eating lunch with this little guy everyday. She has done this with numerous students throughout her school years and I'm happy she made her stand against those that can not accept someone outside their so called "little" world. I hope and pray more students will do the same act where-ever they go to school. I appreciate my daughter's rebel cause, atleast it was done for something positive. God bless you too, Rosalinda.
