Sorry guys, this story was deleted so, i have to put it back up!
I still feel lucky to this day. Although it has been almost two years now from my worst experience yet, I still fear to this day what might have happened to me when I was only 11. It was warm, bright, calm day in November, when my friend John and I were playing on my drive way. I lived in Texas at the time, so there were many trucks and vans moving around all the time, even in our alley between houses in my neighborhood. Anyways, my friend and I were going down my driveway up and down. At this time we couldn't see if cars were coming, so we took our chances. We were rolling down the driveway as fast as we could on my brother's skateboard that he never used. (since he's not a skater) It was my turn to roll down the driveway, I was pretty sure I didn't hear any cars so I went down as fast as I could. As I nearly reached the bottom I saw a large white figure come out of nowhere. It had been a large white pick-up driving by. I didn't move, I couldn't, it had been too late. I was sure at that moment I was to either die, or get seriously injured. As I neared towards the car I hit the back tire but was then thrown back to the ground a few feet away from the truck. I landed rough on the concrete. The woman inside the truck ran outside her car and was dialing 9-1-1 with her cell phone. She told me to stay down, I wanted to get up, but I couldn't. My heart was beating so quickly from the experience I nearly felt like I was dieing. As soon as the paramedics arrived I told them I felt fine and wasn't in any pain. they checked to see if I had nay borken bones. None. Any damages done. None. All they found was a cut on my knee. The next day, my ankle hurt a bit. My mom took me to the hospital to get x-rays done. But, they didn't find anything wrong, it was just a sprain. I recovered completly, but there was only one thing wrong about this experience, something messed up, something unknown. After the paramedic had examined me, I got up and began to walk away. But before I entered the house, the paramedic called me back. I wondered what he wanted, but he only said,"What's that?" I had had tire marks on the shorts I was wearing. Tire marks going in an up and down position. But the only way I could have gotten marks like that were, if I had been run over. Also, the skateboard that was my brother had gone in a completly different direction than I did and had been run over and crushed. But I had not.
How it changed my life:I believe life can be saved at the last moment, when you lose all hope. But never, lose hope for others.
